What could be better than a chocolatey smoothie featuring two superheros of the food world? Sounds like an epic start to the day to us. Try it out and you may just agree.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Funktional Foods Cacao powder
- 1 tsp Maca powder
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 chopped frozen banana
- Handful of ice
- 1 serving Protein Blend Banana or Vanilla (optional but recommended post workout)
Method
- Pop everything in a blender and whizz until wonderfully smooth
- Note: added Banana Protein Blend is optional - the recipe works with or without!
- Pour into a bowl and serve
- Top with blueberries and strawberries - or whatever tickles your fancy
- Note: top up with a splash of water if your smoothie is too thick
